“So…” Isabella started with curiosity. “What was this plan of yours?” “Well, how does anyone control anyone today (anyone without our cuteness, that is)?” Melissa asked in response. “Huh. Good question… Well, there’s always bribery, bullying, reasoning, or negotiation, but I don’t think that’s really your style,” the Mexican-Jewish child responded. “Well, for the most-part, you’re right,” Melissa replied. “I needed what everyone needs today to control the masses: the media. And I knew this wouldn’t be easy. People in businesses are constantly moving back-and-forth. I needed to find the right people at the right moment. And I knew just where to go: the Danville Museum of Natural History.” “Oh, I’ve been there. You know, there is, or was, a time-machine there… Huh. I can’t remember if it’s broken or not…” Isabella thought out loud. “Yeah, I heard it doesn’t work.” “Oh, Phineas and Ferb fixed it, then broke it. The next few days were most eventful for two young children. Milo and Melissa, best of friends and nigh inseparable… suddenly seemed a little less separable. In the Murphy’s backyard, the two of them were bouncing on a trampoline (with more than ample padding under and around said trampoline). The two were currently looking each other, laughing with faux-competitiveness. “You’re good, Melissa, but I bet you can’t do this!” Milo shouted. He jumped, curled into a ball, and used his weight to launch himself really high before he landed on his feet… then awkwardly on his butt. “Nah. I’m too light, Murphy. But… let’s see you beat

“And so, Milo and I spent the day together. Our science-project went about as well as expected… and yet we still scored top-points! Boo-yah!” Melissa exclaimed with a fist-pump. “Anyway, Milo’s folks were more than happy to let me spend the night. We listened to some music. We went back to the school and had a grand-adventure, even if Milo rolled a 1 on the final-boss.” “I feel like that story would be exciting with context,” Isabella replied. “Got that right,” Melissa told her. “Once we retrieved the Scrolls of Guidance, we able to complete our homework. And of course, there was dinner and playing with Diogee before hitting the hay. Overall, a pretty great evening. But I wasn’t about to let it end there…” // Melissa walked with Milo towards the bus stop, ready for another day of school. She stared into space, clearly deep-in-thought. “You okay, Melissa?” Milo asked his friend. “Huh? Oh, yeah,” Melissa assured him. She looked down the road and to her delightful-surprise, the bull
